$10 Challenge Episode #10
I got some pretty good pick ups this time around, I spent a total of $100 for everything you see in the video and I'm sure I will do pretty well. I was amazed that I picked up so many Tommy Bahama shirts from one thrift store, it was like they where hoarding them in the back. I snagged them all up and honestly I did a quick once over but when I got home I noticed some have small stains and one has a small hole. I did pretty decent selling some of the clothing as you will see below but I was dissapointed with the amount of traffic I got on the items because some of the items went pretty cheap. Especially the Ralph Lauren western shirt. I still made money but I could have gotten $15-25 for it, oh well. That is the name of the game, buy, list, sell and repeat. I'm all about moving my money with fast turns but also holding onto some items for top dollar. Last week I tried to move some older inventory by discounting them and had zero luck. Not sure what was going on but hopefully as tax income checks come in soon people will start spending money.
I was shocked when opened the Fathers Day DVD when I found out it wasn't in there. See even I make mistakes, actually Kim tells me all the time to check media and as you can see after all these years I still don't. I get them so cheap that honestly I assume the disc is in there but it is something I really need to slow down on and just take the second to see if the disc is in the box. That case will go in a big box that I have of other DVDs, CDs and Video Games that I have accumalted with no discs. I will end up selling them as a lot on eBay or Etsy for the artwork and reuse the cases for other items.
I was unable to get the shipment to Amazon with the stuff listed below so I will have that go out this week for sure. I have decided with this challenge to go after clothing as my main focus to build up ROI and when I hit a certain amount starting spending more on Amazon type inventory. I just don't want to put myself in a position at this point to go a week or more with out a sale. I'm in the positive on the camera haul that I spent $25 on as I got back $30 by selling 2 cameras. I still have a couple of camera items that I forgot to show in episode #9 and I forgot to show in this video, hopefully for #11 I can show them but overall I think I will do well with the camera lot. I have a pretty good chunk of change in my picking fund and I should be spending it all but I'm really waiting for an opportunity to present itself to me. With that I need to list this stuff and be on the prowl for more items. Happy Hunting!
